This impressive looking scooter tyre is the evolution of the super popular Michelin City Grip, and has aptly been called the City Grip 2. The tyre again features Michelin's latest Progressive Sipe Technology (PST) to improve safety on wet roads. The way the PST technology works is through the sipes design which run the full depth of the tread rubber and in-turn are there to cut through the water on the surface of wet roads so to maintain good contact. These also increase towards the shoulder of the tyre so that more of them are in contact with the road as the scooter leans in corners, thus increasing grip for one, and of course, improving safety. The City Grip 2 has a silica based compound, something you commonly see on much larger motorbikes, and this provides a very high level .
