Since their entry into the motorcycle market in 1955, Yamaha has grown to be one of the big four motorcycle manufacturers in Japan. During the 80’s, Yamaha introduced the EXUP, a new exhaust system for 4-stroke engines that included a power valve which optimised the width of an engine's powerband.
