I do not ride in the UK winter, but I have tried this product during my travels there and found it to be quite comfortable.

It has excellent insulation, keeping me warm even on chilly days and allowing for a good night's sleep despite the damp conditions outside.

While I'm very satisfied with its performance, I feel that the lack of wind protection is somewhat offset by the warmth and dryness within.

I was really looking forward to this jacket, I've always been a fan of well-made winter gear.

The first thing that struck me when I put it on was how sturdy and solid it felt - well-built and substantial, with nice big side pockets that seemed like they'd hold my essentials comfortably. The internal lining is also lovely, it's got a nice cosy feel to it, and the zip out thermal lining in the sleeves is really thoughtful.

The Velcro belts are great for adjusting the fit around the waist, and the front zip velcro fastening is very convenient. You could easily imagine wearing this on its own as a good quality coat, rather than just as part of a warmer item like a fleece or sweater.

I've had this jacket for nearly a month now and I can honestly say it's one of the best I've ever owned - despite having ridden through what's considered 'rare' weather conditions, with both sun and rain pouring down without issue. The quality is on par with anything I've invested in over the past 40 years of cycling, yet I feel like I was getting a fair deal considering it was significantly cheaper than some of the similarly high-end options out there.

The materials used are top-notch from a distance, with soft fleece inner collars and sturdy zips that I can vouch for. And then there's the little details like the depth of the inner pocket for larger phones, which has been a lifesaver in terms of keeping them safe and accessible when you're on the move.

The real standout feature is probably the design - it looks stylish without looking too flashy or attention-seeking. The air vents on the back are a clever touch that's also practical. I've ridden through some pretty bad weather, including Scottish rain, without any issues with this jacket at all.

One minor quibble is to consider sizing up if you like to layer underneath, but overall this jacket is a great buy - one that won't leave me feeling disappointed or underwhelmed.
